How To Open A Wine Bottle Without A Corkscrew ?
If you do not have a corkscrew, it is better for you to prefer a twist-and-open wine bottle. However, sometimes you realize you do not have a corkscrew after you choose a nice bottle of wine. So here are 3 tricks to help you impress your date or become the hero of the party.
1- Push The Cork In
If you do not mind a little cork in your wine, pushing it into the bottle could be easier than getting it out without a corkscrew. You can use a long and blunt object like a metal pipe to push the screw in. Heating up the neck of the bottle will be helpful with this method. However, you have to be careful not to apply too much pressure and break the bottle.
2- Use A Knife As A Corkscrew
You can use a serrated knife to open up a wine bottle. In order to do that, you have to stick your knife about halfway into the cork at an angle. Then you can slowly twist the bottle while you keep your knife in the same position to take the cork out. You have to be really careful when using a knife, you do not want to injure yourself for a bottle of wine.
3- Use A Regular Screw
To open a wine bottle with this method, you need three tools: a screw, a screwdriver, and a fork. This process will be much easier using a longer screw with wide gaps. First, you have to screw the screw on the cork at an angle. Leave just enough gap for the fork. Then, you use your fork to create leverage. After changing the leverage towards you and away from you a few times, you will see that the cork will start to come out.
